  • Assist with point-of-care testing and basic clinical tasks within MA scope
  • Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards
  • Help create a calm, professional, and welcoming patient experience
  • Collaborate closely with the physician and clinic leadership in a small-team environment

What you bring

  • Phlebotomist (MA-P or equivalent)
  • Experience performing venipuncture independently and confidently

At Eventide Health, we believe healthcare should feel exceptional, personal, and deeply connected to the community it serves. Eventide Health is a direct primary care clinic in Friday Harbor, Washington that welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds. Led by Stanford-trained family physician Dr. Stacie Vilendrer, our model emphasizes evidence-based, holistic care to support long, flourishing lives.

We are seeking a part-time Family Medicine Physician (MD or DO) to join our team in a predominantly in-person capacity, covering clinical care Thursdays, Fridays, and additional time spent in-person and at-home depending on candidate availability and clinic needs. We are especially interested in candidates who are excited by relationship-based care, small-town community medicine, and the opportunity to practice thoughtfully in a growing direct primary care model. Candidates with osteopathic, geriatric, functional medicine, and/or aesthetics training are particularly encouraged to apply.

About the team + role

Eventide Health follows the direct primary care model in which patients pay a monthly membership fee to access our primary care services built around access, continuity and trust. The clinic is open for in-person appointments Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and is available virtually to members seven days a week. Physicians typically see 5-10 patients per clinic day in person in half hour appointments with additional time designated to address same-day virtual care needs. The clinic also gives back to its community through its partnership with a local non-profit organization to support high-need patients on a charitable basis.

As a physician at Eventide Health, you will provide full-spectrum outpatient family medicine in a setting designed to support meaningful patient relationships and the delivery of timely, evidence-based care. As a small practice, we also have the latitude to expand services and are interested in exploring how YOUR clinical passions may serve our community. This is an ideal opportunity for a physician who values autonomy, creativity, and a sustainable pace of practice.

This role is based in Friday Harbor, WA, a 2-minute walk from the ferry landing. Commuters from neighboring areas are encouraged to apply. In-person clinical care is anticipated Thursdays, Fridays and additional time spent in-person and at-home depending on candidate availability and clinic needs.

What you’ll do

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based primary care for patients across the lifespan in an outpatient direct primary care setting.
  • Deliver preventive care, chronic disease management, acute visits, and longitudinal family medicine services.
  • Collaborate closely with clinic leadership to support an exceptional patient and physician experience.
  • Communicate directly with patients through office visits, calls, and messaging. The clinic uses the San Francisco-based Canvas electronic medical record and encourages the use of AI-supported documentation.
  • Help shape and grow a community-centered practice on San Juan Island and beyond.
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of the practice, with the possibility of expanding into a larger role over time.

What you bring

  • MD or DO degree and completion of family medicine residency training.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine; intrepid Emergency Medicine physicians also invited to apply
  • Eligibility for licensure in Washington State.
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality outpatient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for relationship-based medicine and the direct primary care model.
Interest in working collaboratively in a small, mission-driven clinic environment.
  • Comfort practicing in person in Friday Harbor on a regular weekly schedule.
  • Availability to share at-home on-call coverage as needed.

Bonus points

  • Prior experience in direct primary care, concierge medicine, lifestyle medicine, or other patient-centered outpatient models.
  • Osteopathic, geriatric, functional medicine, and/or aesthetics training.
  • Experience practicing broad-spectrum family medicine in a rural or small-community setting.
  • Interest in helping grow a practice over time, including into new locations.
  • Ability to bring warmth, flexibility, and creativity to a close-knit team environment.

Compensation + benefits

Compensation for the selected candidate will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including time commitment, scope of responsibilities, training, experience, and practice needs. This is a part-time role (0.4–0.8 FTE) at the outset, with the potential to scale into a full-time position. Per Diem option available if preferred.

Hourly wage:

  • $105,000–$210,000 per year

Benefits:

  • Medical benefits provided to salaried employees at or over 0.5 FTE. Paid time off is provided on a prorated basis, proportionate to hours worked, up to three weeks of vacation/sick leave per year.
